Yann Arthur, independent architect and technical director, based in Geneva.

For thirteen years, co-founder and technical director of an online booking platform based in Geneva. The company grew from two to more than 350 employees in six countries. I led a technical and operational organisation of 80 people, built from three, and took every architecture decision: a hybrid topology between Swiss infrastructure and the cloud.

What that changes for you: thirteen years on systems that are not allowed to stop, where a mistake is paid for the same day. That is where the working principles of this practice come from - rules your teams can read and change, a person who decides at the end of the chain, and operations planned before going into production.

Machine learning in production since 2018: fraud detection, price and demand prediction, content generation, document classification. Since 2020, I design and deliver these solutions for businesses and practices in French-speaking Switzerland, with their teams.

Education: MSc Interactive Multimedia Systems, Liverpool John Moores University; BSc Electronics, University of Central Lancashire; DUT in electrical engineering and industrial computing, IUT de Lannion. Studies and working years in the United Kingdom, from 1999 to 2013. French mother tongue, fluent English.
